Ukrainian Fashion Week. Spring/Summer 2012. day 2

I'm still desperately out of time, but I'm trying to share with you my impressions from what I experience, now I'm painting my nails and at the same time trying to come up with my outfit for today, it's only +2 outside and raining...well, the second day of Ukrainian fashion Week startde for me with Olena Dats show, where flowers, painted by ukrainian artist Elena Onufriv in her 'Aroma' series after she was vacationing at Crete island, were the main theme. the collection turned out to be very romantic and feminine, fabricated only using natural materials and macramé lace.

My favourite dress from the collection

Now not only do I have good memories after the show but also these things for hot dishes (sorry, have no idea how to name them in both languages) with the same print as seen on dresses above

Then it was anna bublik show, where designer was playing with one of summer hottest trends - preppy style. starched collars were there in every variation. the collection was really light, 'neat' and cheerful. some dresses were not to my liking and speaking of style their existence on the catwalk was under a huge question mark for me. though I'd prefer to see the majority of clothes in my wardrobe)

Oh the colour!!

Traditional press-conference with designer after the show

The next in the row were Zemskova/Vorojbit with street-style collection, very wearable and comfortable, at the same time there were transparent materials and lace. the one particular thing I didn't like was fedora hats not of the best quality

Absolutely fell in love with this blouse!!

Afterwards I was going to attend Litkovska show, but while waiting to come in, in no time a huge amount of 'the local elite' (it is still a mystery for me how did they managed to fit in the room) wearing total looks by Dolce and Gabbana and Chanel rushed in front of me, so the choice of peacefully sipping Margarita and making pictures looked more attractive to me then being lost in the crowd which is not really fashion aware (yes, unfortunately in Ukraine the majority of people is still tasteless)

The day was finished with BEVZA show. to be honest, before this I was quite acknowledged in work of this designer, but after the recent conversation with Svetlana about her Milan experience at the UFW press-conference I couldn't wait to see the collection. and I wasn't wrong. first, the clothes and shoes quality was superb and secondly, the lightness and clearness of the collection was so intense that it was somehow even tangible. maybe it happened because Bevza herself has this positive aura around her

And here's Svetlana Bevza herself

I was wearing:

Topshop cardigan
Feater collar bought in London
skirt H&M
