Ukrainian Fashion Week. Summer 2013. Day 1

The first day of Ukrainian Fashion Week is done and the 'marathon' is hectic as ever. coming back to Mysteckiy Arsenal (a huge gallery building and a former factory) feels really great, almost like there was no half a year in between the seasons. the thing that doesn't make me happy is the weather, it's freaking cold and gloomy out there, though it doesn't stop me from wearing the looks I've created in my mind weeks ago. am I a fashion victim?))) ok, anyway, let's step to the shows.

Итак, первый день украинской недели моды успешно пройден, фэшн-марафон начат, очень приятно было вернутся в "Мистецький Арсенал", не радуют лишь погодные условия, как обычно едва ли понадеешься на тепло и солнце, будет холодно и дождливо. ну что ж, нам не привыкать. "лучки" я себе уже напридумывала и менять их не собираюсь, хаха) ну что ж, приступим к рассмотрению вчерашних показов.

Ukrainian Fashion Week fall-winter 2012/2013. day 3

3-й день Ukrainian Fashion Week по праву можно назвать днем эффектных показов. первой я посмотрела коллекцию Артема Климчука, которую я бы назвала лучшей из тех, что показывал дизайнер. вообще, творчество Артема с каждым разом производит на меня все большее впечатление. чего только стоят искрящаяся бахрома из бисера в контрасте с черными жакетами и уже ставшие фирменными "порванные" вырезы на платьях. как и в прошлый раз, на подиуме царило легкое чувство мистики.

Burenina for Valeria Feliz presentation

Last Thursday I was invited to the Kiev's boutique Valeria Feliz for the presentation of capsule collection by ukrainian designer Elena Burenina. I never stop repeating that it's always such a great thing when stores decide to sell not only popular western brands but resident product as well. to 'prepare' guests even better for the show, there was a bartender show organised (video in the end of the post is waiting for you) that included extreme bottle throwing and of course preparing of tasty cocktails. to simplify the description of the collection itself, it can be named quite calm and wearable, materials looked soft and natural, that confirms the 'comfortable' status of the showcased clothes. naturally, Burenina's trademark shoes were there as well, you can never take them for something else.

В прошлый четверг я была приглашена в киевский бутик Valeria Feliz где проходила презентация капсульной коллекции дизайнера Елены Бурениной. нужно отдать должное магазину, который, помимо именитых западных брендов, взял привычку популяризировать среди своих клиентов и украинский продукт. что бы еще больше настроить гостей на приятный просмотр показа, было организовано бармен-шоу (в конце вас ждет видео) с метанием бутылок и конечно же приготовлением вкусных коктейлей. говоря о самой коллекции, то в краце ее можно охарактеризовать как очень носибельную и спокойную, ткани на вид мягкие и натуральные, что опять же таки подчеркивает практичность демонстрируемых вещей. конечно же не обошлось и без фирменной обуви Берениной, которую ни с чем не спутать.

UFW second press conference: Ukrainians in Milano

Yesterday, the UNIAN information agency hosted a second Ukrainian Fashion Week press conference, which was even more interesting for me than the previous one. it was dedicated to Ukrainian designers who took part in the Milan Fashion Week, or to be more precise in Fresh Fashion from Kyiv project, that was held in Milano Moda Donna headquarter and international fashion exhibition WHITE. anna bublik, Olena Dats', Dominanta by Anastasia, Elena PRZONSKAYA, PODOLYAN and Liudmyla KOMARDINA where taking part in first, while ANISIMOV, BEVZA, Elena BURENINA, BOBKOVA, LUVI and vozianov presented presented black Ukrainian corner (contrasting to trademark white interior at the exhibition) at the second. looking at the speaking designers, it was obvious that they enjoyed the trip a lot, are now proud of their achievements and are full of great impressions and new energy. after chatting privately with Svetlana Bevza, I found out that she is planning to cooperate with London as well and also, that american market dictates it terms, so the collection presented there differs from the Ukrainian one. well, soon the time for Kiev to enjoy the works of national sartorialists will come and now, let's look at the photos.

Вчера в информационном агентстве УНИАН прошла вторая пресс-конференция Ukrainian Fashion Week, которая для меня была даже более интересной чем первая, посвященная участию украинских дизайнеров в Миланской Неделе Моды. а если быть точнее, презнтации проекта Fresh Fashion from Kyiv проходившей в штаб-квартире Milano Moda Donna, участниками которого стали anna bublik, Olena Dats', Dominanta by Anastasia, Elena PRZONSKAYA, PODOLYAN и Liudmyla KOMARDINA; а так же международной фэшн-выставке WHITE, где украинский стенд контрастного черного цвета (в то время как все выставочное пространство было традиционно выполнено в белом) представляли ANISIMOV, BEVZA, Elena BURENINA, BOBKOVA, LUVI и vozianov. рассказывая о своей поездке, было очевидно, что участники горды проделаной работой и полны приятных впечатлений и новых сил. пообщавшись лично со Светланой Бевзой, я выяснила что дизайнер планирует сотрудничество еще и с Лондоном, а так же то, что американский рынок диктует свои условия и ее коллекция для него отличается от отечественной. ну что ж, скоро придет и время Киева оценить работы украинских мастеров, а пока смотрим фотографии.
