Elena Burba fall/winter 2012 fashion show

A week ago, Ukrainian designer Elena Burba presented her fall/winter collection 2011-2012. just like the last time, the show took place at one of the hidden backyards of Podil (one of the oldest Kiev regions) with pleasant and cosy aura. the sunny, almost-summer day, made it even more great. this was only the second time I've attended Elena's show, but from the very first moment entering the place, the familiar style of organisation and decorating was definitely visible, that is what designer is well known for. the collection itself was again sweet ant touching, but too predictable and vapid for me. the main colours of the season according to Burba will be black, fuchsia and orange yellow. as I was looking at the catwalking models dressed in gowns, I had an image in my imagination of a shy girl who is constantly going on romantic dates to the park.

Неделю назад, дизайнер Елена Бурба презентовала свою осенне-зимнюю коллекцию 2011-2012. как и впрошлый раз, показ проходил в одном из "скрытых" дворов Подола, где царила приятная и камерная атмосфера, чему так же поспособствовал и солнечный, почти что летний, день. на шоу Елены я была лишь во второй раз, но с первой же секунды почувствовался знакомый стиль в организации и оформлении мероприятия, этого дизайнеру не отнять. говоря о самой коллекции, то она была мила и трогательна как и предыдущая, но как по мне, слишком предсказуема и пресновата. основными цветами сезона, по версии Бурбы, будут черный, фуксия и желто-оранжевый. глядя на плятья дефилирующих моделей, в вображении создавался образ робкой девушки, которая все время ходит на романтические свидания в парк.

2 girls in the city

To be honest, the original idea of this post was to write about the new shops we've found in Kiev, but instead we just had a lot of fun that can not be described in words (you better see the video, haha), a lot of walking and receiving a lot of inspiration from the city. now I really should go and pack my bag, cause I'm looking forward for a much promising weekend)) so happy Saturday and Sunday to you too!!

Откровенно говоря, этот пост задумывался как описание новых найденных нами магазинов в Киеве, но вышло как всегда: неописуемо много смеха (лучше смотрите видео, ха), много хождений и много нас вдохновленных городом. теперь мне пора идти собирать дорожную сумку, поскольку впереди многообещающий викенд)) счастливых вам субботы и воскресенья!!

Mood of the day: crazy about i-shopping

My much-awaited delivery from ASOS (that should have come more than 2 weeks earlier and with more items included (some of them turned out to be out of stock)) came today and I'm already surfing for more temptating e-commerce which is all over internet, while I have some work to do. such a drug for a shopaholic. look of the day from a week ago.

Не успела я сегодня получить долгожданный заказ с асоса (ASOS), задержанный болие чем на 2 недели и дошедший не в полном объеме (т.к. некоторых вещей уже не оказалось в наличии), я невольно соблазняюсь на все новые искушающие предложения интернет-шопинга, которым нету конца и края, в то время как нужно заниматся делами. наркотик для шопоголика. look of the day недельной давности.

Searching for colour

Today it's been raining quite heavily and the weather makes you want to fall asleep constantly, so I decided to post pictures from some time ago, when it was bright and sunny and I spent the whole day walking and having fun outdoors with a friend, investigating unseen (for me) places in the city center. for this matter I wanted my look to be easy and relaxed, just a perfect match with the mood of the day. also, we've accidentally found the showroom of ukrainian designer Elena Ivanova, hidden behind the bright red door (which is absolutely amazing!!).

Так как сегодня довольно таки дождливо и пасмурно и то и дело хочется провалится в сон, я решила поделится фотографиями сделанными некоторое время назад, когда на улице было светло и солнечно, а мы с подругой целый день разгулвали по центру города в поисках невиданных (для меня) мест и веселились как могли. по такому случаю одется мне хотелось расслабленно и ненавязчиво, как раз под настроение дня. по воле случая мы также набрели на шоурум украинского дизайнера Елены Ивановой, скрывающийся за ярко-красной дверью (просто шикарно!!).

I LOVE KIEV mega post

Now that I'm in possession of all the pictures I wanted to show you, here is the report of I LOVE KIEV festival, that I attended last Saturday. this event is a new alternative to celebrate the Day of Kiev (the city is more than 1500 years btw) and includes young designers fashion shows, apparel and accessories market, music performers and other creative activities (like the Mini Cooper showroom where everyone could get a free t-shirt and colour it with scented paints). though there were some things missing (not enough grass to seat on) and imperfections in schedule, in general it was a great time spending. I'm truly glad that such idea came up to the organizers and convinced that soon it will be a European level festival. so, moving to the pictures, as you can see I LOVE KIEV was really colourful.

Наконец-то в моем распоряжении все фотографии которые хотела вам продемонстрировать с фестиваля I LOVE KIEV, на который я оправилась в прошлую субботу. это событие являет собой новую альтернативу празднования Дня Киева, и состоит из модных показов молодых дизайнеров, ярмарки одежды и аксессуаров, выступлений музыкантов и других креативных мероприятий (как например шоу-рум Mini Cooper где каждый мог бесплатно получить футболку и разукрасить ее вкусно пахнущими красками). и хотя некоторых вещей не доставало (явно мало травы что б на ней можно было посидеть) и розписание не всегда было продуманным, в целом это было увлекательное времяпровождение. действительно радует что такая идея посетила организаторов и уверена что вскоре это будет фестиваль европейского уровня. ну что же, переходим к фотографиям, как видите, I LOVE KIEV был очень красочным.
