At the Backstage, fall-winter 2011/2012

I'm always very curious about what happens behind the show as much as I'm interested in the show itself. the action there is not planned, everyone is moving hecticly and sometimes you have a quite different look at clothes and shoes from the "official" catwalk. here are my favourites from the latest NY, London, Milan and Paris fashion weeks.

Glamorous S&M

This is the exact feeling I had after watching the latest Louis Vuitton fall 2011 collection. this time Marc Jacobs created a brilliant show looking more like some exclusive perfomance, wich took place in a luxurious parisien hotel. and all those handcuffs, latex looking high boots, caps and stockings...s&m is definitely in the air))

">

Marc J may be bad, but he's perfectly good at it

I want this Louis Vuitton logo cap so much!!

And as you've may already noticed, the catwalk was full of top models like Naomi Campbell, Amber Valetta, Carolina Kurkova and of cource Kate Moss closing the show. SEXY

Oscar style

Here are the looks that caught my attention during the Oscar ceremony and related parties

Mila Kunis in Ellie Saab, fantastic, the best

Amy Adams in L'wren Scott, so glittery

Hailey Stansfield in Marchesa, simply adorable

Colin Firth

Halle Berry in Marchesa

Jennifer Hudson in Ateiler Versace, it's totally her dress, that's all I can say

Wasn't sure about Kate Blanchett's Gevenchy Haute Couture gown at first, but than realised that I just can't miss it, and probably nobody could pull it better than her

Tom Ford, ubber stylish as always

Golden girl Gwyneth Paltrow looking both great in Calvin Klein on the red carpet and at the party with Cameron Diaz

Jessica Szohr

not a big fan of the hair-do, but love the classy black evening dress, so chic

Robert Downey Jr.

and finaly, the stylish teen couple of Selena Gomez and Justin Bieber, cute!

Natalie, ma cherie

Finally!! the new Miss Dior Cherie commercial featuring stunning Natalie Portman is out! it is such a delight to see your favourite designer collaborating with one of your vafourite actresses, espesially after his previous choice.

The video was shot in Paris (of cource), in July by talented Sofia Coppola (slightly feel the Marie Antoinette style), who's been doing the previous Miss Dior Cherie commercial as well. pictures are by Tim Walker, but we're not gonna see them until March. the LBD (little black dress) Natalie is wearing is by John Galliano inspired by the iconic parfume.

Can't get enough of these pictures! they make me want to go and open a box with my brand new Miss Dior Cherie parfumes right now))

Burberry never leaves me speechless

In the good way of cource. every time I see the new collection I feel like writing something about it. Burberry is one of my favourite brands, I love it's unique spirit and it often inspires me for a lot of my looks. but a lot of things I saw at the autumn/winter 2011 catwalk make me wonder "where's the trademark style?". half of the collection just doesn't feel like Burberry to me. and those furry caps?... ok, the muse of the collection is an iconic model Jean Shrimpton from sixties, but there's way too much 'musing' as for me.
well, on theother hand, there are things that I absolutely fell in love with:

brilliant trench and coats: colour splash, design variations but still the Burberry style

curious details:

oh, and the bags....nothing but fabulous!!!

so as far as Christopher Bailey is able to create at least few pieces that make me die, I'm calm) love the genious anyway

French VOGUE without Carine?

"Carine Roitfeld announced today that she will leave her position as editor-in-chief of French Vogue. Nothing is wrong, she says. She's been there for a decade and wants to end on a high note. “It’s ten years that I’m editor of the magazine,” she told Cathy Horyn. “I think it’s time to do something different.” She said her departure had nothing to do with Condé Nast International chief executive Jonathan Newhouse. Horyn reports: Ms. Roitfeld often did the styling for photo shoots. “I had so much freedom to do everything I wanted. I think I did a good job.” But she added, “When everything is good, maybe I think it’s the time to do something else.” She expects to complete issues through March. She said she was not sure what she would do after that. “I have no plan at all,” she said."
hmmm....sound really suspicious to me. leaving such a succesfull position for not knowing what. there must be definitely some genious plan rolling in her head or that is not her idea to leave Vogue. in other versions I don't believe.
