Le Negresco

Today I felt like it's time to continue sharing my impressions about the breathtakingly beautiful French Riviera, and here's to your pleasure the one of a kind building, the symbol of Nice - hotel Negresco. well, I didn't atach these pictures to the previous post about Cote d'Azur (Azure Coast) for a reason, the place is absolutely unique. and to be honest, I've only decided to enter the massive doors under the iconic pink dome only the 3rd time I was here in Nice, and immediately regreted I didn't do it а few years ago. the thing is, when you come to this enlivening and sunny city, the last thing you think of is spending your time "breathing in the old dust" in the museums, and Negresco is a perfect solution - it's not taking you away from the fresh air and the sea (it is situated right on the Promenade des Anglais), at the same time it is full of Dali works, curious sculptures and beautiful interior design. you can sip a glass of champagne under the spectacular Baccarat chandelier with 16,309 crystals, that was originaly meant to be owned by Czar Nicholas II, explore each floor of the hotel, each of them is styled differently or you can use an elevator just to feel yourself acting in Pinocchio fairy tale (at least thats what I felt, haha), where the inner walls are upholstered in purple velvet and the door holder looks like a huge golden key. not to mention that while being there you are constantly thinking of the famous people like the Beatles, Disney, Picasso, Chanel, Gagarin and others who were staying in Negresco during it's 100 years history.  

Сегодня я хочу продолжить делится с вами своими впечатлениями о невероятно красивой Французкой Ривьере, и взять "под прицел" уникальное в своем роде здание, символ Ниццы - отель Негреско (Le Negresco). конечно же, можно было "втиснуть" эти фотографии и в предыдущий пост о Лазурном Береге,  но я абсолютно уверена, что данный объект со столетней насыщенной историей заслуживает особого внимания. признаться честно, массивную дверь под знаменитым розовым куполом, я открыла лишь на третий раз пребывания в Ницце, и сразу же осознала свое упущение. даже учитывая тот факт, что находясь в этом жизнерадостном солнечном городе, желание "вдыхать старость" в музеях абсолютно отсутствует, Негреско - это как раз то место, где практически не отходя от моря и свежего воздуха (отель находится прямо на набережной), можно в прямом и переносном смысле прикоснуться к прекрасному. здесь, в окружении многочисленных полотен Сальвадора Дали, и скульптур знаменитых мастеров, можно пропустить бокал шампанского, сидя под впечатляющей люстрой Baccarat с 16,309 кристаллами, которая в свое время предназначалась царю Николаю II, побродить по этажам, где интерьер каждого уникален и отвечает стилю определенных годов. а еще, можно просто прокатиься на лифте, стены которого, обиты пурпурным бархатом, а ручка на тяжеленной двери, отворяющей его, выполнена в форме золотого ключа (так что невольно чувствуешь себя в роли Буратино, хаха). ну и что уже там говорить о знаменитых постояльцах, останавливавшихся в отеле за его столетнее существование, то и дело представляешь как здесь расхаживали Битлз, Дисней, Пикассо, Шанель, Гагарин и многие другие.
