French VOGUE without Carine?

"Carine Roitfeld announced today that she will leave her position as editor-in-chief of French Vogue. Nothing is wrong, she says. She's been there for a decade and wants to end on a high note. “It’s ten years that I’m editor of the magazine,” she told Cathy Horyn. “I think it’s time to do something different.” She said her departure had nothing to do with Condé Nast International chief executive Jonathan Newhouse. Horyn reports: Ms. Roitfeld often did the styling for photo shoots. “I had so much freedom to do everything I wanted. I think I did a good job.” But she added, “When everything is good, maybe I think it’s the time to do something else.” She expects to complete issues through March. She said she was not sure what she would do after that. “I have no plan at all,” she said."
hmmm....sound really suspicious to me. leaving such a succesfull position for not knowing what. there must be definitely some genious plan rolling in her head or that is not her idea to leave Vogue. in other versions I don't believe.

H&M, give me some Lanvin

Start planning your trip to the nearest H&M store (well, choose one of the lucky 200), cause the results of Lanvin's collaboration with H&M is gonna be reliesed soon, very soon, on november 23rd. before that,on the 2nd of november, H&M desided to make previewing on their site to assure you that the collection is to die for and you'll have to fight for it. I remember the empty shelfs that were left after Roberto Cavalli for H&M line was released, and it was talked to be the most succesful H&M collaboration with luxury brands, and now I'm sure the new one will definitely beat it. I can only imagine what's going to be happening in the stores...God save the fashion lovers!!

The price range varies from 99 GP pounds for a dress (I want the one Natasha Poly is wearing below) to 29 for gloves or bag and 25 for clutch or necklace. and it's absolutely worth it!!

And here are my favourite H&M collaboration videos...

New Look of Kiev

Yesterday I attended the NEW LOOK OF KIEV event, which was held in one of the most interesting galleries in Kiev called Arsenal. this is the project of Top 10 magazine, that is purposed to promote young ukrainian fashion talents and "provide a platform for integration of ukrainian fashion community into international context". that's why such a big names in the fashion industry as Godfrey Deeny, Yvan Rodic, Stephane Feugere, Matt Irwin and others were in Kiev this weekend. after his lecture I had a small talk with Yvan who turned out to be a nice guy, looking lost in a cute way =))) (you can read it in the end of the post).

Pretty in pink

Look who is promoting italian brand Fornarina this season

It's not difficult to imagine how much time did they spend to photoshop the pictures, but I actually like what I see in result. it's not the first time Linds collaborates with Fornarina, but back in 2008 (I guess) it was a total disaster

Kenzo fall 2010

First of all, I've always loved Kenzo for their mesmerizing colours. These ad campaign and collection make one more statement of the pure geniousity of the brand with mainly autumn-coloured palette consisting of orange, gold, brown and grey patterns. I almost can feel the freshness from the pictures!

As always, my favourite picks:

And this is the dress that I'm totally dieing for! majorrrr

Roberto Cavalli fall 2010

Featuring Giselle Bundhen in trademark Cavallis animal prints and furs, this ads look pretty hot and wild! Really like the rich-hippie-chick feeling of the collection, but also it reminds me of the GUCCI fall 2008 one.

Dear John, ... WHAT THE FUCK?!

I just don't get it, why on earth was Taylor Momsen, who plays the slutty little girl in Gossip Girl, chosen to be the spokesperson for new John Galliano fragnance, due this fall?! well, ok, I'm fine with her music career (unlikely her acting career) and she is kinda suitable for Madonnas Material Girl line, but that's it! hello!! there are plenty of beautiful and interesting faces, style icons and popular actors/singers in the world! and the choise is this

being one of my favourite designers, John make's me sad someimes ://

Lazy Sunday

Slow moves. Lounge music. Favourite coffee. Sweet dreams. Light. Scent of vanilla. Soft touch. Pastel colours. Calmness of the city outside.

Stella McCartney fall 2010 ad campaigne

I really like that it is so simple, but still fresh and not boring (probably because of that colourful leters =))also these ad's reflect the collection in the best possible way.
Despite the fact that I'am a fan of mostly colourful and intricate-looking clothes, my favourite pieces from this collection are simple siluets of black, nude and grey.
